Engine

The 351C is basically a stock 10K motor that we upgraded with a Performer 4V intake, Edelbrock high flow water pump & Thermostat, Road Demon 575cfm carb, FPA headers that were heat coated inside & out, we sent the distributor to a guy in Las Vegas to have it rebuilt with a MSD magnetic trigger and a small black high voltage cap to keep the vintage look then we added the black MSD spark plug wires and Ford Performance valve covers still trying to keep the 70's street racer look.

AOD Transmission

This is the Dominator Jr. Automatic Overdrive Transmission installed in the car, it's a rebuilt late 80's trans that was rebuilt by PATC in Louisiana has been upgraded with heavy duty clutch packs, servos, valve body and imput & output shafts to handle 550hp. It came with a 2100 stall speed convertor. We purchased the flywheel, shift linkage to attach to our existing floor shifter and crossmember from Ron Morris Performance. We couldn't use our 351C starter so we ordered a new mini-torque starter for a 90's Ford Explorer with a 5.0 V8 from PA Performance and it worked great. The custom driveshaft is not shown but it was built by Midwest Driveshafts in St. Charles,Il. with a #1350 rear u-joint & a #1330 front u-joint.

Motor in Car

Here you can see the motor bolted into the car. You can also see the Road Demon carburator, the added MSD Blaster 2 coil and all pulleys & belts attachted.

Motor Completed

Here everything is in place and hooked up, MotorCraft battery that looks like an original that has to be filled with acid but it's actually a maintenance free battery, on the driversside fender apron is the MSD 6A ignition box, the radiator is a Griffin Aluminum one painted black to keep original look and the original Shaker Assembly we purchased off ebay.

Another Pic of Motor

From this view you can see the Dual Electric Fans we installed to keep the motor cool with the A/C running. Also the chrome overflow tank for the radiator. The scoop for the top of the Shaker Assembly is still at MuscleCrafters waiting to be painted with the hood.

1st Test Drive

We took the car down the street for it's first test drive after everything was hooked up and it performed perfectly. A few minor leaks but after a project like this if that is all you have to deal with you are lucky.

Test Drive #2

Here's another picture of the car after the first test drive. Now you can see the Painless wiring for the front of the car with their wire loom material.

New Dual Exhaust

New dual exhaust installed, Flowmasters 44 "Delta Flow" mufflers, aluminized exhaust pipes with "H" pipe and Mach1 oval chrome tips with the correct rolled edge. Work performed by Gene & Calvins Mufflers in Excelsior Springs which does quality work for a fair price.
